Caribana is coming to Kitchener in a big way! Caribana Ignite will light up Carl Zehr Square and Downtown Kitchener with two days of unforgettable music, dance, food, and Caribbean culture. This new street theatre and street party format will give you a front row seat to the carnival runway, featuring stunning costumes, energetic performers, and an atmosphere like no other.
What Is Caribana Ignite?
Caribana Ignite is a celebration of Caribbean culture, diversity, and artistry. Instead of a traditional parade, Kitchener will experience a vibrant mix of street performances, music, and carnival fashion. The festival also features a month-long lineup of events including fitness classes, markets, and after-parties that keep the carnival vibe alive well beyond the main weekend.
Festival Highlights
Day One, Friday, August 22 | 6 to 10 p.m.
The kickoff party brings Caribbean sights, sounds, and flavors to life in Carl Zehr Square. Expect music, dancing, delicious food, and a family-friendly evening of fun.
